Therapy to Help your True Self Flourish
Trauma Therapy for Individuals, Healers, and Deep Feelers
Specializing in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and Anchored Relational Therapy
Do you ever feel like…
It’s impossible to rest
You're always worried about what others feel or think
You’re functioning on the outside but exhausted on the inside
Something bad will happen, even when things are going well
You say yes all the time and regret it later
It’s possible to feel safe again and more present
To be less run by self-doubt, burnout, and the pressure to get it right
Less carrying what was never yours to hold
More like yourself again, more steady, more here
Connected to your body, your life, your relationships
You’re here because some part of you already knows there’s more than this.
More ease. More aliveness. More of you actually in your life instead of just getting through it.
Not rushed. Not forced. Just a little more space for what you already sense is there.

Your past doesn’t need to control your present
Maybe you’ve been in and out of therapy for a while, made some meaningful changes, and still feel stuck.
If you’re living with trauma or C-PTSD (and especially if you’re someone who feels things deeply, processes things a little differently, or identifies as neurodivergent), you probably get why you feel the way you do and still don’t feel much better.
I offer trauma therapy in Minneapolis, MN, and online for clients across Minnesota. My work supports trauma, C-PTSD, anxiety, and chronic stress using Somatic Experiencing, EMDR therapy, and Anchored Relational Network techniques.
This work goes beyond insight alone. It’s about understanding and honoring your nervous system and not fixing you. Together we can work with what your body and mind have had to do to get you through. From there, we create space for things to start to shift in ways talk therapy alone often can’t reach.
Hi, I’m Vanessa Robinson
LPCC & Trauma Therapist
I believe healing isn’t about changing yourself, it’s about coming back to yourself
Have you found yourself wondering if it’s worth it to start over with a new therapist? Finding that you’re just talking about things but not feeling like you’re over it?
With curiosity, openness (and a little humor here and there) I can help make sure you’re feeling like yourself again and moving towards the life you want.

Somatic Experiencing
Somatic Experiencing is a body-based therapy for trauma, stress, and anxiety. It helps you become more aware of your nervous system and the ways your body responds to past and present stress, including patterns like tension, shutdown, or overwhelm. Through gentle attention to sensation, breath, and movement. Somatic Experiencing supports your ability to regulate emotions, release stuck stress responses, and build a greater sense of safety and connection in your body.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy for trauma and distressing life experiences. It helps you process memories that may be linked to negative beliefs, anxiety, or feeling stuck, so they feel less overwhelming over time. EMDR works by supporting your brain and nervous system in reprocessing these experiences in a more adaptive way, helping reduce their emotional impact and creating more space for calm and stability in daily life.
Anchored Relational Therapy
Anchored Relational Network (formerly AIR Network) is a skills-based therapy for complex and developmental trauma. It helps you work through long-standing patterns shaped by early experiences, including negative beliefs about yourself, by supporting your nervous system’s ability to regulate stress and emotion. Over time, it can reduce dissociation, increase grounding, and build a more stable sense of self through safety, connection, and relationship.
EMDR Intensives
EMDR Intensives are extended sessions (half-day, full-day, or two-day options) designed to help you make deeper progress in a shorter amount of time. They use the same EMDR approach, but with more focused, uninterrupted time to work through specific trauma, patterns, or stuck points that may take months to address in weekly therapy. Many people choose intensives when they feel ready to move through what hasn’t fully shifted in traditional sessions.
